Dear Catholic Daughters of the Americas of New Mexico,

It is with Great honor that I can serve the CDA membership to my fullest capacity.
I was born in 1950 and raised in Loving N.M. and Carlsbad N.M.
I am married to my beautiful wife Elsa H. Chavez, we have 3 children, Manny Jr., Melanie, Michael. We have 3 Grandchildren and one deceased grandchild, and 2 beautiful great-grandchildren. We have celebrated our 59th anniversary on April 10, 2025
I was ordained a Catholic Deacon on June 14 of 2020 in Las Cruces
N.M. I am a retired taxidermist, I have many hobbies but hardly time to do them all. I love to hunt, and fish, and teach Taxidermy.
My favorite Saint is St. Augustine of Hippo, because he reminds me in so many ways, before he had his calling. His quote that I love so much is, “My heart is restless until it rests in you.”
My dearest sisters in Christ, may the Holy Spirit guide us in our everyday challenges and protect us from all bad and evil.
May God bless us all!
Yours in Christ,
Deacon Manuel (Manny) Chavez
